I studied to be an Interior Designer but the real world had other plans. I found myself working on projects and events for Drake University and Iowa State University Athletics out of college. To shake things up, I moved to Denver where I landed in retail.  I started at a fabulous kitchen store in Boulder and then moved into fashion, moving up the management ladder at Nordstrom, Eddie Bauer and Guess and into merchandising. Designing the store layout, building window displays, outfitting mannequins and merchandising the floor allowed my creative juices to flow.  With the cost of living soaring in Denver, and the commute taking longer, it was time to move yet again. 

 

I packed up my downtown apartment and moved to Spokane where I landed in media sales and advertising, launching my career into marketing. The advertising and marketing landscape has changed a lot over the last 10 years making the creative process more important than ever. Using yet another aspect of my creative brain, I've developed the skills of content writing, ad design, copy writing, photography, staging, layout, branding, logo design, website development, promotions, event planning, and oh so much more!

 

Throughout this time I continued my love of interior design helping my friends and family with the design or decorating of their homes and apartments. Which lead me back to my design roots following the year of Covid. The world of marketing took a hit and I decided to pivot.  I've now worked with several general contractors and flooring companies honing my skills and getting up on all the trends and new products in the industry.  I’m also a DIY’er and am constantly doing re-upholstery work, refinishing wood furniture, painting and remodeling.  I'm using all of those skills as a independent contractor helping people turn their home into dream spaces.

Which brings us to today.... pulling from all of my professional background, I have the privilege of helping my clients in various creative ways... And I Love It!
